On this episode of the Construction Record Podcast, digital media editor Warren Frey spoke to three industry experts at the Buildings Show in Toronto about some of the topics raised at the CEO Breakfast panel hosted by the Toronto Construction Association and ConstructConnect.
The title of the panel was “Economic Outlook and Construction Industry Challenges in a Post-COVID world” and in the first interview ConstructConnect senior economist Michael Guckes examines how governments responded to COVID in March 2020 and how those decisions led to where we are economically at present.
In the second interview, Jeff Murva, the president of J. Murva Consulting Inc. lends his expertise on the challenges of building high-rise projects in Toronto’s downtown core, and our final interview is a wide-ranging discussion with Toronto Construction Association president and CEO John Mollenhauer about the current and future state of the construction industry in Ontario and the rest of Canada.
