In this episode of TCR Express, Journal of Commerce staff writer Russell Hixson talks to digital media editor Warren Frey about some of the stories he’s reporting on including a look at how immigration in the lower Mainland is pushing the need for affordable housing even further in an already tight market dealing with not only market conditions but a scarcity of available land.
Russell’s also working on a story about Vienna House, a collaboration between the University of British Columbia, City of Vancouver, BC Housing and the city of Vienna, Austria. We also have an update from Daily Commercial News staff writer Angela Gismondi about the expansion of the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital in Toronto as well as a partnership between Enbridge Inc., Walker Industries and Comcor Environmental to develop renewable natural gas projects to convert landfill waste into carbon-neutral energy.
