This week on TCR Express digital media editor Warren Frey and Journal of Commerce staff writer Russell Hixson look at some of the stories Russell is covering this week, including the development of the səmiq̓ʷəʔelə lands, an area of land located in Coquitlam, B.C. which is being managed by BC Housing along with the Kwikwetlem First Nation. Daily Commercial News staff writer Angela Gismondi is also working on  a story from a recent Skills Ontario webinar where speaker and author Julie Sawchuk explains the disconnect between those designing accessible structures and the people actually using them. Angela also has a story about a Canadian Automobile Association study that says Canadians are paying $3 billion every year in higher vehicle operating costs due to poor road infrastructure, and later this week she’ll be attending a webinar on vaccination in the workplace hosted by the Ontario Road Builders Association and the Ontario General Contractors Association.
