On this episode of The Construction Record, national managing editor Vince Versace and daily editor Lindsey Cole dive into plans at the Daily Commercial News and the Journal of Commerce’s plans for reviewing the year in construction, and Vince reflects on the Swing Stage Tragedy, which occurred in on Christmas Eve, 2009 and involved four workers falling to their death, and the reverberations throughout the industry in response to the accident.

Don Wall also spoke to about an evaluation of the Working At Heights program with Ontario minister of labour Kevin Flynn, and digital media editor Warren Frey spoke to Vancouver Regional Construction Association president Fiona Famulak about the announcement by the B.C. government that the Site C hydroelectric project in northeastern B.C. will proceed. Famulak talked about how that decision will affect the industry in Vancouver and across the province.
