Source CEO Nicole Schmidt spoke this week on the Construction Record podcast with digital media editor Warren Frey about her company, which brings stakeholders together with sources for commercial construction products. Schmidt started as an interior architect before switching to representing manufacturers which inspired her to build out a digital platform to bring together the construction community.
Schmidt said while construction is a legacy industry it’s the responsibility of technology companies such as the source to make their platforms and projects easy to use for anyone in the industry. She also reflected during the interview on both the challenges and the advantages of being a woman in the construction industry.
