President Joe Biden’s $1 trillion infrastructure initiative is on the verge of approval from the U.S. Congress and Senate, a rare show of bipartisanship for a potentially radical revamp of the country’s roads, bridges, power plants, broadband and more.

Association of Equipment Manufacturers senior director of government relations Kate Fox Wood spoke to digital media editor Warren Frey about the impact of the bill on both U.S. and Canadian equipment manufacturers, the challenges and opportunities associated with the massive amount of work needed to rebuild United States infrastructure and how Biden’s “Buy American” policy will affect how the work gets done.
