This week on the Construction Record podcast, digital media editor Warren Frey speaks with the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) vice president of oil sands and fiscal and economic policy Ben Brunnen about the oil and gas industry as we enter 2022.

Brunnen looked at how 2020 was a down year for the industry but 2021 showed signs of recovery, and he predicts this recovery will continue into 2022. Brunnen also covered Canada’s oi and gas prospects as the United States goes through a parallel economic recovery and talks about potential risks such as geopolitical instability in Eastern Europe and the continued presence of the pandemic.

You can listen to The Construction Record and TCR Express on the Daily Commercial News and Journal of Commerce websites as well as on Apple PodcastsSpotify and Amazon Music’s podcast, and you can listen to last week’s podcast speaking with BC ministry of transportation and infrastructure chief engineer of highway services Ian Pilkington about climate and infrastructure renewal here. Thanks for listening and we’ll see you next week.
